GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) came into force on May 25, 2018, and is a law aimed at protecting personal information (data) within the European Union.
This law generally prohibits the transfer of personal information (data) including names, location information, email addresses, and online identifiers (IP addresses, cookies) obtained in the European Economic Area (EEA), including the EU, to locations outside the EEA. All companies, organizations, and institutions with local subsidiaries, branches, or representative offices in the EEA are subject to the GDPR.
